One more thing
One more thing about our trip- on Catalina Island there's a Del Sol store. I'd never heard of them before and was enchanted by their merchandise. It changes colors in the sun! We were saving our money for Mexico so we just got some color changing nail polish and a key chain. Then right before we headed back for the ship we won a Del Sol raffle which included a tank top and medium shirt for Jason! The observant sales person deduced our religious affiliation, probably because Jason was decked out from head to toe in BYU paraphernalia. He offered us to exchange our winnings for products that would better fit our needs. Here's their website:

No Surprise
So any of you who know me will not be surprised with this next bit of information. I left my cell phone on the boat! We were so careful packing I didn't do a second check of the cabin. Jason also left his BYU hat. Now, I don't know which of us misses our items most. Leaving a cell phone is devastating for most in my generation but worse for me because I just replaced that phone last month. Jason really loves his BYU hats. Hopefully they have found them and the phone/hat are in transit to Miami. We should have them back within 2 weeks.
The moral of the story is: Erica should have anything of value permanently attached to her. So, I've decided to get the cheapest phone possible as a safety net for the next time I loose/drown a phone. =) YAY for tax deductions!

Here we are in Mexico. We found out an interesting fact. This flag is one of 9- the 9 largest flags in Mexico. Only 9 Mexican cities have these large flags. Mexico City, Ensenada, and Veracruz are among them. (Shame on Jason for not taking a picture of the one in Veracruz.) It takes 40 members of the Mexican Military to take the flag down and put it up-more if it is rain soaked.
Cruise!!!
We had a great time on our 4 day cruise. We drove the 10 hours to Long beach and stayed in the Hyatt Sunday night. Monday we got on the boat and had a great time until we had to leave for good Friday morning. Above is a picture taken from the water as we rode back to the ship after our jaunt on Catalina Island.
Catalina is beautiful! We had a great time. Jason loved looking at all the boats and even saw one akin to the Northland.

Appliances!
So Jason got two BIG birthday presents this year-a cruise and a new dishwasher. Ours quit on us a couple weeks ago and it's been hard to keep up. I've been busier in Real Estate then I've ever been and am gone most of the day and evening. Jason has a general aversion to washing dishes so the dishes have piled up. We finally decided to replace the dishwasher and the broken microwave. So if you're going to get new, get stainless!!! (Especially when they are on SALE)For now we will have a dishwasher and microwave in stainless and a fridge that leaks and a range in white. Ce la vive! Appliances should be here and installed on his Birthday-Just before we go to Mexico! Whooo Hoooo!
